2001 Season - Week 19
Divisional Results
Marcus is still looking to do the Double after he defeated Aaron after his kicker, Adam Vinatieri outscored Aaron’s (Paul Edinger). His opponent in the Championship games will be David who had the biggest victory of the week-end, knocking out Andy H 34-20. Chief edged his wife in the closest game closing a 10 point gap Cheryl had late in the third quarter and taking the lead just after the half-time interval in the fourth quarter match-up between the Rams and Packers. Mark left it latest of all winning the ‘Commotion Across The Ocean’ in part because his QB Brett Favre threw 5 interceptions. Due to Brett’s nightmare game Mark’s kicker scored plenty of PAT’s and it was the PAT after Aeneas Williams second Int return for a score with just 7 minutes left that put Mark through. Mark the only other person to have done the Double will play Chief the current holder.
All-BUMS Voting
Yes it’s that time again where we look to you to vote for your favourite players of 2001. To assist you I have attached the top scoring players at each position. As is always the case I need in order your top 3 Running Backs and top 3 Wide Receivers together with your number 1 & 2 Quarterbacks, Tight Ends, Kickers and Coaches. These should be with me by Thursday 31st January so that the votes can be counted and the team can be announced at the BUMS Superbowl Party on Sunday February 3rd at BUMS HQ from 10:30pm.
Franchise Players 2002-2003
It’s also time for you to decide which player on your roster you intend to sign for another two years at the price you paid him this season. We lose our Franchise Players signed for 2000 and 2001 and everyone has to sign a new Franchise player. Again the Top Scorers may help you decide. If not I’ll send out the full final rosters spreadsheet shortly. As with the All-BUMS voting this information needs to be with me by Thursday 31st January.
